The schools' rehearsals do not take place in Cidade do Samba, but rather on the courts. It is unlikely that you will see a rehearsal during your visit, but it is possible that a school will hold a rehearsal in Cidade do Samba and you will be surprised.
For sure! However, we have some exceptions. Samba schools prepare all year round for the big carnival parade and do not want secrets and preparations to be revealed ahead of time, so we will always guide visitors to where it will be possible to take photos. In some spaces, you will only be allowed to take photos with your eyes to keep that memory forever in your memory. This makes it special, as you will be part of a group of few people who had the opportunity to see a little piece of the next carnival before the general public.
